Just when we thought it was safe to go outside... it rained.
The weatherguy's pronouncement last month was that we had seen all the rain we would see until October. Well thankfully he was wrong. We woke up this morning to the gentle sound of rain on the rooftops. Starting last night after midnight, the light rain (many would call it drizzle) is still falling and it's almost noon. The plants and grass are rejoicing... I am sure they prefer natural rain from above to the chlorinated stuff we irrigate them with for most of the summer.
What is interesting is that right about the time our shower and bath water smelled like strong chlorine, I noticed that my grass outside was beginning to brown out right near the sprinklers. I wonder if these coincidences are related to each other? Does anyone out there know?
