Remember... Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body- but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy s***...what a ride!" ----->Don't let your tombstone read: Died at 30- Buried at 80.

Do You Know Me ?
I was born in Wirsitz, German Empire on March 23, 1912.
- I went to the Technological University of Berlin in 1930 and joined the Spaceflight Society.
- I was known as the "Prussian Rocketeer" andforced to develop rockets for Germany. I helped develop the V-1 and V-2 Rockets for the Nazi's during WWII.
- On May 2, 1945, my brother and I surrendered to an American Army private.
- In 1950 I wrote an article for "The Hunstville Times" proclaiming that flights to the moon were possible. In 1952 I postulated the concept of an orbiting space station in "Collier's Magazine".
- Working for the U.S. Army, my team developed the Redstone Rocket and the Jupiter C. We launched the first American satellite, Explorer 1 on January 31, 1958.
- I was with NASA through the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo programs and I supervised the construction of Saturn V rockets. Yes, I knew President John Kennedy. I really believed that we would head to Mars after we landed on the moon.
