Do You Know Me ?
- I'm a Yankee doodle dandy since I was born on the 4th of July in 1927 in the Bronx, NY.
- I attended NYU and the University of Denver from 1944-6.
- I quit my mail room job to write radio and TV scripts with my brother Danny.
- Sid Caesar hired us to write for the "Show of Shows" in the 1950's.
- My first Broadway play "Blow Your Horn" opened in 1961 and ran for 678 performances.
- You might have heard of my other stuff: The Odd Couple, Barefoot in the Park, Biloxi Blues, Brighton Beach Memoirs, The Goodbye Girl, The Out-of-Towners and Murder by Death.
- I've been honored with thew Tony Award, Golden Globe, Pulitzer Prize and the Mark Twain Prize.
