Do You Know Me ?

- I was born in Neptune City, NJ on April 22, 1937, the son of a showgirl and I was raised by my grandparents, who said they were my parents.

- I found out during a 1974 Time Magazine interview that my grandparents pretended to be my parents and told me that my mother was my "sister". Yes... it was pretty confusing.

- I went to Hollywood and was a gopher for the cartoonists Hanna-Barbera. They offered me a job as a cartoon illustrator- but I declined.

- Some of my first movies were: The Cry Baby Killer, Little Shop of Horrors, The Raven, The Terror, and the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre.

- My acting career appeared to be going no where, so I took up writing and directing in the 1967 movie The Trip.

- My big break came in Easy Rider. I followed this up with Five Easy Pieces, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, The Last Detail, Chinatown, Tommy and The Passenger.

- I appeared in Mayberry on the Andy Griffith Show.

- Still don't know me? I have starred in: One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, The Shining, The Postman Always Rings Twice, As Good As It Gets, Reds, Anger Management and A Few Good Men.

- If you can handle the truth then guess who I am?
