- I was born long, long, long ago and currently live 8 miles from Cork, Ireland.
- My name literally means clever, flattering or coaxing talk.
- I must be the luckiest guy on the earth because everyone likes to kiss me.
- According to legend if you kiss me you will be blessed with the gift of gab... truth!
- Some legends as to my "birth" and magical properties include:
- I am half of the "Stone of Scone".
- I was the stone Jacob used as a pillow (brought to Ireland by Jeremiah).
- I was the pillow used by St. Columba of Iona on his deathbed.
- I was the "Stone of Ezel" that King David hit behind to evade Saul.
- I was the rock Moses struck to produce water in the desert.
- I am related to the magical "Stone of Destiny"
But however I got here... I am an integral part of the Blarney Castle and although I'm usually very cheery some say I'm blue (stone).
