Went out to see the Salton Sea on Saturday. Once a thriving vacation spot, the salt naturally found in the soil turned it from a freshwater lake that formed from a burst Colorado River Dam in 1905 into a salty and unlivable cesspool by the 1970s. Well a picture speaks 1,000 words.
