Who Am I:
- I was born on February 8, 1834 in Verhnie Aremzyani, Russia.
- I went to college at the Main Pedagogical Institute in 1855 then came down with tuberculosis (TB) upon graduation.
- I am most famous for discovering and recording the "Periodic Table of Elements". These are seen and used in every chemistry classroom in the world.
- I was "technically" married to two women at the same time, thus I was denied admission to the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1882. Because of this I left St. Petersburg University in 1890.
- I was the director of Weights and Measures and developed the new standards for vodka production (80 proof = 40%) in 1894.
- I helped to establish the first Russian oil refinery.
- I have a crater on the moon and the chemical element #101 named after me.
